Ferrari took roughly 90 kilos out of the 488 GTB, added power and borrowed aerodynamic ideas from its Challenge race cars, including the S-Duct that pulls air through the nose and out over the bonnet. Its engine is largely shared with the 488 Challenge race car, including titanium connecting rods and a lighter crankshaft. The optional racing stripe running the full length of the car is the single most common way owners specify it.
